Colorado is sacred. Colorado has Her own unique history, legends, ghosts, nature spirits, and Sidhe.
We look to Colorado as a mirror of our own soul, and the place where we will rest our bones when we die.
Many of our tribe's ancestors bones are now a part of the soil. In the end it is the Land Goddess that
matters to us the most. When the thin vaneer of civilization is swept away, it is the Land that remains.
She is the source of our breath, our water, our shelter, and our food. She truly is our mother, our
Bandia (goddess).
Our tribal goal is to protect Her places of beauty and power. Speak as stewards of Her wildlife,
waters, and mountains. Colorado is home to powerful spirits that deserve our veneration and
respect at all times. Colorado's mountains are places of power and wisdom; places for pilgrimage rather
than "tourism". When you stand upon the summit of a mountain in Colorado, and look out over the vistas
before you, you cannot help but touch the Gods. The Land Goddess is all around you, and if you are "present" it is always an
unforgettable experience.
We have a unique challenge in our Celtic path here in Colorado. We must take the best and most
enduring of the old and apply it in a fresh and creative way to the new. Respect the traditions and
respect the Land Goddess and all else will fall into place. We long for our children to know Her like
another family member. We long for them to remember the experiences that their ancestors and Gods had
in places around Her body. From Mount Wilson, to Zapata Falls, to South Park Fen, and to Pikes Peak; they
are all sacred places that deserve our admiration and awe. Love Colorado like your own mother
and we have truly arrived at the "promised land".
