Well the unfortunate truth is that I started out my life in Mississippi. I was born in to a Military Family, and was a single child for all of three years before my sister came along. After that we made a mad dash to get out of the south. We traveled around a lot, like any military family does. We managed to visit Boulder CO, Cheyenne WY, Montgomery AL, Biloxi MI, Omaha NE, Colorado Springs CO, and Germany. Most of these places we hit twice because they where, oh so entertaining. As I grew up I found that I kept getting asked where are you from? The best answer I could give them was, "No Where"!
As I got in to my teens and started thinking about my future and how I fit in to it I made a realization. My true home was in the Rockies of Colorado. As I started to realize this more and more, and grew more and more puzzled about what to do with my life, I decided to go back to the basics. I got a hold of my grandmothers genealogy book and got to the "root of the issue" some may say. As I dove in I found my Irish heritage, and fell in to it. As I went on I delved into the history of Ireland and found the Druids. Reading more and more I grew quite keen on their philosophies. So as an attempt to get closer, I joined the OBOD and started my path. I soon realized that I want to have someone else to explore the path with and bounce ideas off. So I looked and looked, and looked some more, never quite finding a group in my area. One day as I was surfing the Internet, when I should have been working, and stumbled upon Tuatha. I was really impressed to say the least by the curriculum that they followed, and philosophies.
I wrote multiple times, and found out about the class that Benn and Bryan taught. Being all excited and stuff, I went to the class and attended every session. At the end I found that I was the only one left in a class that started with five. It was from there that it was decided that I should join the group. Now, I can't imagine what my life would be like if I hadn't meet these wonderful people. I found a home in the Tuatha, and a whole new family. Everyone in the group holds a special place in my heart and accepts me for the weird-o that I am. And besides that, the benefits are to die for.
