When you walk in the mountains of Colorado you can hear the voices of the Mac Talla. The old Gaelic
story of the Mac Talla is a sad one. It is said that the "echo" heard in mountains, canyons, and valleys
are the voices of the "Sons of the Earth" in Gaelic this translates to "Mac Talla". The Mac Talla are
the spirits of children who died before their time, or died unbaptized.
The Mac Talla to me are those children, who dying young, and having to leave thier parents behind, are
"adopted" by the other Mac Talla and the Earth Mother herself. So when you walk the mountains and hear
their voices you know that it is the Mac Talla, repeating your words as very young children often do.
